On October 16, 2018, our Austrian partner University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria LOGISTIKUM with the cooperation of the Hungarian Federation of Danube Ports and the University of Dunaújváros, held an international workshop in Dunaújváros with students, named Transport School Lab “Sustainable Transport Systems”.

The workshop started with an interactive lecture on sustainable transport and the possibilities of inland navigation, and a thematic competition started where students formed groups and competed against each other, transport calculations were also carried out. The participating students were very active and there were many good conversations throughout the day.

In the afternoon, we introduced and tested the “Logistify” application, which is the new expanded reality application developed by LOGISTIKUM. Participating students could try the beta version for which feedback was provided. The next item on the agenda was the idea of future modes of transport. Students have been given the opportunity to come up with their creativity and get stuck on what the cargo would carry in 2030. Their thoughts were presented to a jury. The jury evaluated the ideas and the event ended with a prize-giving ceremony.
