By the request of BELGABIZ the Baja Public Port Ltd. organized a business meeting in Baja on 7th of March, 2018.
The members of BELGABIZ were welcomed by Mr. Róbert Fercsák, major of Baja, later they hadthe opportunity to meet with local representatives of the economic life in Baja within the frame of professional forum and conference.
The ambassador of Belgium, Mrs Marie- France André was represented by Mr Pierrick Massaux,the first secretary of Embassy of Belgium in Hungary. He said that it was a pleasure to visit Baja. Mr Massaux arrived with Mrs Edit Ránky, commercial attaché for Walloon region, Dr. Béla Nagy, Flemish commercial attaché and Mrs Valerie Gys, the president of BELGABIZ.
Mr László Nagy, the managing director of Baja Public Port Ltd. declared about positive impact of having Belgian investors in Baja.
BELGABIZ is an organisation which involves leaders and managers of enterprises that already have investments in Hungary or have business – commercial connections with Hungarian companies. The members of BELGABIZ regularly have consultations. They visit rural areas several times a year, too. This time it was Baja that aroused their interest.
After the professional meeting we visited the port of Baja.
We are trying to develop an efficient commercial cooperation. Baja Public Port Ltd. has some traffic volumes with Belgium at present, too, for the time being with low amount of goods, however, this kind of meeting opportunities enable the expanding of closer relationships.
