On July 19, 2017, we made a study visit to the port of Enns, thanks to the DAPhNE project and as the reward for the best examinees of the port operator training. The purpose of the visit was to get to know the port of Enns, where there is a huge container terminal, and to get to know and try out the special 3D ship design program and Lego simulation of the logistics university in Steyr, a computer-driven mobile platform. The program was opened from 10 o’clock to 15 o’clock by Werner Auer Harbour Director, who introduced the port in his presentation, which was then viewed from the building’s terrace.
With the introduction of the Logistics University, the program continued with the presentation of Eva Jung, who made the company an interactive presentation for the afternoon program. After lunch, we built a ship with a 3D simulation, and then we could try out how the Lego Harbour works. The program ended with a workshop, where we shared ideas for future forwarding tools.
